    You don't need a tool to open the alarm box, just order this battery, it's great quality, and it's so much cheaper than you can find anywhere else.


    The alarm system worked fine during the winter storm, but I am not sure how long it will last. I hope this unit will last for at least 3 years, and will come back and update again.


    The battery was connected to the security system panel in a matter of seconds, and the BAT alarm message on the control panel went away after that.


    I bought this battery a while ago and it is still working. I like to wait a while before I review certain items, because you have to have it for a while to determine if it's worth it.


    I did not give it 5 stars because I didn't like it, but I'm satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone.
