    The original battery that I got to replace gave up after 6 years of service, including several long power losses, so I had to get a new one.


    I think the battery was shot after a day or so when the beeping would start back up, but I didn't track that well enough.


    It takes me 10 minutes to figure out how to remove the old battery from this one, which is exactly what FIOS sells as their official replacement, at a good savings.


    I was surprised that the company would honor the 3 year warranty, even though the battery wouldn't last that long.


    It's pretty good that it lasted almost three years, but I'll have to wait and see if it lasts longer than some of the other reviewers experiences.

    If you buy an automotive battery at an auto parts store, they will take it for recycling.

    I had a problem with the ONT and installed a new battery, but it died after a while and I had to replace it with a green system light and ZERO lights.

    The BBU is not converting 48v from the power supply to 12v needed for the ONT, that's why the battery supplied power until it was drained.
