Even if you have thin hair, a good cleanser won't bring back any lost hair, and with the hair you have left it will look a little thicker but not that much noticeable.
It is much better than the cheap-o Suaave because it protects your hair from falling out, getting thin, and making you look older than you really are, especially if you have a pre-balding stage in your life.
The strong scent from the shampoo almost knocked me out of the tub, but I will stick to this one as it is doing a great job and it is easy to smell.

Does not promote growth and does little for me with relation to volume.

I think it makes my hair stay thick and nice, if you like to try it out, go for it.
Is it safe for colored hair?
I don't color my hair, but my close friend does. He has never had any problems with this product.
