What buyers say about Cold-Hearted Rake : A Novel by Emily Dickinson
I don't read a lot of historical romance and they are definitely outside my wheelhouse, but a few books in this series have been recommended to me, so I started at the beginning.
I loved the first 1/3 of the book, and I thought it was going to be an exciting enemies-to-lovers romance, which is one of my favourite genres.
I enjoyed the whole cast and I felt like Kathleen had a better relationship with West than she did with Devon.
The situation is not good, they don't have enough money to give them a season and most decent men want a wife with money.
The first time Kathleen and Devon met, he was very controlling and she came back at him. His brother, who is always with him, has a great wit and he brings a lot of laughter to the story.
