What buyers say about The Last Sketch: A World War II Novel Set in Warsaw and Montauk
I was very invested in this story, and even though it was a short read, I think I was rooting for them to make it work, to overcome all their obstacles and just live the lives they deserved.
I received an ebook copy of the novel and am leaving the review on my own accord, it is a beautifully written debut novel that tells a story of one of the most dramatic times in twentieth century, World War II, and suspense and romance.
The book has many perspectives, but the main characters are told from a single perspective. Hearing the two voices brought me closer to the story and added so much more than if it was told from a single perspective.
Gosia Nealon's debut novel, The Last Sketch: A World War II Novel Set in Warsaw and Montauk et in Warsaw and Montauk is an amazing story of war and its devastating affect, tragedy, and a story of immeasurable loss, grief, fear, and espionage.
The novel makes you want to continue reading even if you just want to stop because of the mix of emotions that are spread in it.
