I skip paragraphs where terms are excessive and dresses are described to the nth degree because it is hard for me to give a rating as the use of metaphors and similes became annoying and therefore a distraction.
If you want to read about fashion and Paris in general, and speak a language other than French, this book is for you. If you don't, move on."
This is a great book for anyone who likes a great generational story with passion, intrigue, glamour and a bit of real history.
The stories in both timelines were too far-fetched. Estella fell in love with a handsome spy and Fabienne fell in love with him.
This is a very good novel that covers the 1940s to the present day and is very well written.
