The story Soraya Lane has written is so epic it will have you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last sentence.
This is a story about three women who were involved in the war in France during WWII, and how they came to be who they are today.
While I understand people are complicated, I don't understand how Adelaide was able to look past the actions of the Nazis while her heart is in the right place.
I was happy for those that survived, but I was sad for those that didn't. I would recommend this book to anyone.
The way Lane tells it reads as some of the most gripping suspense of the 20th century, without the supernatural elements often part of the story.
