It was a little shaky to put the feet on, but you have to figure out which way the rod goes in to make sure you don't put the end cap piece on before the dowel goes in correctly.
The result was a pretty cool looking puzzle, but it wasn't clear how to twist the stem or lock the puzzle together.
I chose to make the owl look exactly like the one on the box, so I used the eye stickers in yellow and black, and they gave you the option of also choosing solid black.
I think the hardest part of putting the owl together was the color of it, being clear, it wasn't easy to see the pieces very well, so I suggest putting a black mat or paper down and that will make it easier.
I ordered two types of puzzles for the fifth graders, an owl and a wolf, and both graduates said that they were very hard, but they had a lot of fun putting them together and that it added to their being fun.

It's just like a normal flat puzzle but with instructions in all but one box. Yes it is a little difficult at first but once you get a feel of how the things go together it is easy.
