The fan is a direct fit, and I only had to remove the old fan's connector and crimp pins to install the new one.
I thought about upgrading the fan to something fancy and silent but decided against it because I didn't think I'd accidentally get the wrong one, but I found this deal and installed it like a breeze.
I was surprised when I installed it and started using it, it was much quieter than the fan that came with my printer, and my print quality is the best it has ever been.
I have only had the heatblock fan installed for a couple of weeks now and so far it is doing well, but it is quite different to the one my printer came with, which had a year of dust and dirt on it.
