What buyers say about PEI Magnetic Flexible Heated Bed 235x235mm
The first layer wouldn't get stuck to the bed because it floated up to the nozzle.
It is very easy to take the plate off and put it back on. I previously removed the stock magnetic surface from my build plate, so I was glad they included a new one with this plate.
The quality of the work is better with painters tape, because it doesn't have to slow down the initial layer, so using this plate does slow things down.
I have been using this printer for about two months and it has not shown any signs of wear. I clean it with isopropyl alcohol between prints and a micro fiber cloth and have no adhesion issues.
If you are using PLA you will have a smooth surface where your print will adhere well, that's why it's a perfect upgrade for the Ender 3/5.
Common Questions
Is it possible to buy the top part only in PEI?
I don't need the magnetic base so I won't buy the full package again, and it's very ridiculous that I don't have the PEI top part by it.
Is it possible to use alcohol to keep the surface clean?
It's really easy to keep clean because the prints pop right off when you bend the plate.
Is it compatible with the ender 3 v2?
Yes. I use it on an ender 3 V2 and it's better than the stock glass plate, it sticks better and it heats up faster as well.
Is it a spring steel sheet with pei on it?
If it did not already have a magnetic sticker on it, you can put it on your printer bed.
Is it possible we still have to scuff this with steel wool?
I do it from time to time, but I don't think it's necessary.
