These mechanically simple wonders can print to almost injection molded surface finish with great resolution, " Lets talk pros and cons.", Pros:, amazing print quality, Competitive price, Simple to use, "metal case so its very rigid", Cons:, "Replacement LCDs are not cheap."

I had an issue with my Z-axis and I was able to work through the issues with the available videos, but I decided it was most likely my board.

I have been using this printer for a month now and I have to say that it is a good printer with good quality and that it has a small print area, but it is clearly stated and most UV resins printers in this price range print about the same.

I have had 5 failed prints, so I would recommend printing something small and slicing it with their software.

I have built multiple FDM machines from kits but have yet to try out the world of resin printers, but the ease of set up for the Anycubic Photon is amazing.

    Common Questions

    Q:

Will this make a big difference to me?

    A:

The original Photon is the one with the dual lead screw for the Z axis while the Photon is single, and its outer case is made from metal.

    Q:

Is this printer a good choice for a first time 3d printer?

    A:

Yes because of the good print quality and price, but there is a time to learn orientation of your prints.

    Q:

I didn't receive a resin sample, are there any available now?

    A:

The lowest price doesn't come with sample resin or spare FEP.

    Q:

I was going to get a printer, but I saw a mention of a dual-leadscrew conversion kit, where can I find it?

    A:

I have yet found a replacement for the dual screw setup, but my most used photon has close to 5000 hours of print time and has not failed.

    Q:

I don't have a well ventilated space indoors and I don't want to leave it in my garage because of the humidity. Can someone tell if it's an issue to take it back?

    A:

I use it in my apartment and only use the Any ECO UV Resin in it, it's virtually odor free, earth friendly and easy to clean with dish soap before UV curing, and creates amazingly detailed prints.
