If you don't have everything you need before you pull the old gear off, you're going to be without a printer.
You can find a lot of guides to help with the process of calibrating your extruder, but I would not recommend setting e-steps to a number someone else told you to set it to, and then running the calibration yourself.
The dual gear extruder is easy to install and it does not try to crush the filament after many moves.
If I had been more careful in my ordering, I wouldn't be here, I bought this er to use at work with my Elegoo Neptune 2s being my home work horse.
I have been using this extuder for a couple of weeks now and I have to say that it is pretty easy to use and easy to set up.
