  • Common Questions

    Q:

Is there a glue that I need to use for the filament stick?

    A:

The first thing I do when installing a new PEI sheet is to evenly rough up the entire surface with 360 grit sandpaper, scratching in multiple.

    Q:

I want to replace my sheet with a new one because there is a low point in the middle of the bed.How do I get rid of it?

    A:

You can easily remove the broken down glue with a hard flat surface after a few coats of the 3M 08987 adhesive remover.

    Q:

How can I get the bubbles out of under it?

    A:

It won't affect operation unless it's a big bubble. The clips were gone from underneath where they were used to hold this PEI to a heat-bed, so perhaps a press could do it, or a vacuum pump.

    Q:

Is the textured side the print side or the glossy side that will face up when installed?

    A:

You remove the kraft paper that protects the adhesive and stick the adhesive side down to the bed.

    Q:

If it isn't making round circles, what can I do?

    A:

Not quite enough info to answer, can be caused by not specifying enough facet counts in the design program.
