  • What buyers say about ANYCUBIC Mega S 3D Printer, Upgrade Metal Frame FDM 3D Printer

If you want to make sure your bed is stable before you push "print", follow the instructions on leveling the bed and check it at least once more.

This print turned out great and came out super clean, I used bronze Zyltech PLA and printed a model of The Once and Future King by Jukka Seppnen.

This seems to be a step up from other printers I have seen, since it is pretty much all metal.

This printer was easier to assemble than the ender3 since it had 8 screws to attach the vertical frame to the lower frame and 2 screws to attach the spool holder.

I'm happy to say that there is little language barrier when I email them, so that's a plus. I would really like to see more support for modifications of these products like some other manufacturers.

    Common Questions

    Q:

Is there a difference between this Pro version and Mega S?

    A:

The Pro version has a better silent driver, an extra laser engraving function, and a better extruder leveling.

    Q:

How is the printer's noise level different from other 3d printers?

    A:

I have one of these and it is very quiet, I measured the sound level and it was between 49 and 51 decibels, which is the equivalent of a quiet office, and that was when it was printing and its stock no upgrades to the fans or drivers was nice.

    Q:

What other filament types does it support besides pla and tpu?

    A:

To avoid degrading the PTFE tubing, I would keep the max temperature at 250.

    Q:

What is the program for controlling the laser?

    A:

I believe octopi is one of them.

    Q:

I'm not sure if there are any issues with operating this in a non heated garage during the winter. Should the filament be stored at room temp until use?

    A:

The printer is designed to be used within ambient temperature range of 8C-40C, but working outside those limits may result in low quality printing.
