  • What buyers say about ANYCUBIC Photon S 3D Printer

These mechanically simple wonders can print to almost injection molded surface finish with great resolution, " Lets talk pros and cons of these.", Pros:, amazing print quality, Competitive price, reasonably simple to use, dual Z-axis gantry, Much quieter than the Photon, Cons:, plastic outer

I ordered the Photon-S after learning that Anycubic had released a newer unit with better LCD brightness and dual Z, and I was very happy with the print.

It took less than 15 minutes to have the photon S plugged in and ready to use, it was well protected and almost ready to use, the manual described each step perfectly to create your first print, mine was successfully printed.

Anycubic's friendly and responsive customer support is fantastic, and the Photon is a great printer at its price point, if you're a wargamer or tabletop game player.

The price of the liquid crystal display (LCD) resins used in the printer is considerably less expensive than that used in the Moai, which is one of the reasons I am excited for it. I am still in the process of testing this beauty out and will update my review if things

    Common Questions

    Q:

I don't know what kind of power supply I should buy to replace the printer's malfunctioning one.

    A:

You can try it with your computer's adapter, because the operating voltage is 220V / 110V.

    Q:

    Can a single tray of the resin build a solid block of 4.53"(L) x 2.56"(W) x 6.49"(H) if the max work dimensions are 4.53"(L) x 2.56"(W) x 6.49"(H)?

    A:

A solid block filling the work area would take almost 1.2 liters of resin.

    Q:

I want to know if anyone has had a problem with the drive.

    A:

I received my machine and it was version 2.9.9, the current version is 5.0.2 and updated them to UI 2.6. I used a Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 64GB to update it and it was pretty fast.

    Q:

Is it possible for the resin shipped with the system to be used to print functional parts that will be in direct sunlight post curing?

    A:

It can, but the Resin it comes with is very brittle.

    Q:

What type of UV light source do you recommend for curing the prints?

    A:

You need a 405nm uv light source, and with the sales prices going on atm, you really should consider the Anycubic wash and cure system.
