In the past I have been able to change filament colors in mine using the filament run out sensor, it works pretty good in the meantime, but there is a person working on firmware that can change it with m600.

You can use any program that can generate G-codes for printing Slicing files to print with the likes of Cura, Prusa Slicer, Simplify 3D or any other program that can do that.
Is the issue with the ptfe lining resolved?
I have never had a problem with that, all I can say is that.
What types of materials does it accept?
It's a stretch but you should change the print head nozzle before you print other abrasive materials.
What's the maximum temperature?
I have had some thermal firmware shutdowns, but it is fine at 260-275C.
