If you are good with tools you should be able to assemble this without any problem, I know the basics of soldering and I can put things together.
The setup I have is just as good, if not better, than the one I have on guide rods, because everything moves so smoothly and there is no play in anything.
I have been using this printer for a couple of weeks now, and I have to say I am quite impressed with the quality of the material, the ease of use, and the fact that I have not had to re level the bed after running about half a kilo of PLA through it.
My 11yo daughter wanted a 3D printer forbut we didn't want to spend a lot of money, as we didn't know how much use it would get. This seemed like a good compromise, as the Ender 3 had fairly good reviews.

Yes. The reality hopes you don't let this wonderful obsession slip by, auto leveling is a mysgnomer, a probe that creates hyper.
I have Kapton tape on the hot end that makes it look like it's supposed to be that way. Do I foam off the hot end?
That is not foam, you should leave it there to heat insulation.
Is it possible for this to connect with a chrome book?
It can connect to a computer, but in my experience, it leads to a lot of unfinished prints.
What is the size of the package?
There was a box approx 21” x 7 3/4 x 15".
I'm not sure if this is the ender 3 or ender 3 pro.
