What buyers say about Dremel 3D45-01 50-Micron Direct-Driver Filament Extruder 3D Printer
I agree that this printer was rated highly, we run it almost 24 hours a day making parts and although we had to go through a few reels of filament it still printing fine.
It has a camera that can be used for live video, but it doesn't offer a live feed, and it has a still image every 10 or so seconds of your build progress, some other hints. This is not a live video but seems to offer a still image every 10 or
I've been playing with Print Clouds for a couple of months now, and I've got to say, it's pretty darn good at what it does: it's pretty accurate at what it does and what it doesn't do.
Even for a first time printer, cloud printing and the included slicer are just fine. I have found the slicer to crash frequently, the web app slow to process STL, and the print status slow to update.
I am very satisfied with the 3D printer that we have in our office, and I can say that it is a great purchase.
Common Questions
Does it work with any material or dimensions, or does it only accept Dremel-brand filament?
If the temperature settings are within range of the Dremel printer, you can use most of the common 3rd party filaments.
I don't know if this uses propriety filaments or if I can use other filaments.
The use of third party filaments will not void the entire warranty, but it will void the warranty on the nozzle.
What is the printer speed?
It depends on the resolution setting you choose.
Should I buy build sheets if the glass plate needs to be replaced after so many prints?
I have minor scratches on my glass but it doesn't seem to hinder the print.
Is it possible to use an iPad Air 2 with it?
Yes, if you use the Dremel OS print cloud slicing software from the Dremel DigiLab website.
