  • What buyers say about ELEGOO 3D Printer Neptune 2 FDM 3D Printer

I have been using Prusaslicer for the past few months and it has been a great slicer for my FDM printing needs, I have not needed customer service yet, but I hear it is very good.

I can't use my printer until I fix it, I really hope it's not hard, but if it's not hard, you can know better what to do even before you put the first screw in.

The Neptune 2 is a pretty good printer for its price, especially if you want to use it as a first printer.

The assembly was good and I did not have any issues with my ender 3 v2

It took me about an hour to put it together and was printing the provided test print in about 30 minutes, after a few days of playing with it.

    Common Questions

    Q:

Does this work with gcode files I already have or do I need to use Elegoo software?

    A:

They have profiles already in their version of Cura, but you don't have to use them.

    Q:

How large is the build plate?

    A:

I measured after it arrived and found it was 235mm x 235mm, not the size of the plate I needed to know so I could upgrade to a glass build plate.

    Q:

What is the product footprint after it's been assembled?

    A:

The diameter of the filament spool holder is approximately 18" x 17".The holder hangs over the side of the printer, adding about 3.5" to the side at the top.

    Q:

Does anyone know of a good first upgrade part for this printer?

    A:

The bed springs that come with the FDM printers aren't strong enough to maintain a level bed, so I've only leveled my bed two since I upgraded to the silicone columns.

    Q:

What is the strength of the srongest filament this printer can handle?

    A:

    It's ABS.
