  • What buyers say about Voxelab Aquila X2 Upgraded 3D Printer

The prints come out looking clean and the print lines are almost unnoticeable. The printer has multiple test prints and the filament that it is included with is pretty and it is more than enough to print all the test files included in the SD card.

I have used pla, pla silk and plu filaments, but I found that the building with the elasticated filaments kept failing even though I played with temperature and speed settings.

I contacted the company at 11pm that night, they confirmed what I needed, and then by midnight, I had the tracking number for the part that was being shipped to me in the USA.

The printer is good quality, although there are a few things you will have to address, the first and most important of which is that the exhaust holes for the power supply are covered up with a metal plate, I had to remove the plate and cut holes for the air to exit otherwise.

I got this printer for $170 after watching a video on youtube about it, and I can say that it has been great so far, and very little issues, despite the fact that I was missing a screw, and all of which were down to human error/dialing in this printer.

    Common Questions

    Q:

What is the difference between this one and the other voxelab aquila 3d printer?

    A:

The only thing different about this printer is that it only makes one version of the FDM printer.

    Q:

Is it possible for the aquila to be sent print jobs directly via theusb port or do I have to use the sd card?

    A:

You can use the CURA software to print from the USB.

    Q:

I'm not sure how to format the card.

    A:

It should work fine on a Windows device, but on a Mac it would be fat.

    Q:

The user manual on p20-21 is not good, what is the procedure to resume printing if there is a run out of filament?

    A:

You have to purchase a filament sensor (about $8) and mount it on the printer and then plug its wires into the mainboard, which requires taking the bottom panel off of the printer.

    Q:

Is it possible for anyone to share how to setup slic3r and cura for voxelab aquila?

    A:

Yes. Please email us so that we can send you the document or join our official group.
