This was a large project that took several steps to complete, and the final product is an incredibly unique accent wall that complement my entire living room.
The 3D wall panels were lightweight and easy to handle when opened, just like the ceramic bathroom tiles that were in the box, and they are similar in appearance to a heavy-duty plastic paint-pan.
I put thin wood panelling on the wall instead of using glue on it because my house is brand new and I wanted it to be lightweight.
They were easy to install, and I used 3M double sided adhesive instead of the liquid nails that may have been more messy, so I can just remove them and replace them easier, they don't weight much, and they can be handled easily.
It is very easy to install 3D tiles on my fireplace, but I would recommend making sure they fit exactly so you don't have to make any cuts.

How do you take them off? Will they ruin the wall?
If you don't screw a cement board on the wall, it will damage the wall and you won't be able to install the wall tile directly.
I don't know if I need to paint it or if I can use as is.
I would suggest using spray paint so it's eventually distributed and it should adhere better.

The main function of this item is to transform the space in visual, however due to the surface is patterned 3Dly, it has some capacity for sound diffusion and insulation.
