I don't think this will work on weaker prescriptions as it messes the prescription up, and also don't use it on plastic lens as the friction alone will melt them.

We can be used to polish off wiper blade damage, however, it needs to be used with a felt pad and a rotary electric polisher or an electric drill at 1500-2000rpm.

It can be used as a final polish without the need for the fine compounds.

If your glasses are actually glass, that question is not an easy one to answer since it would edpend on how badly they are damaged and what you would consider an acceptable improvement.
