  • What buyers say about DEWALT Wire Wheel, 8-Inch, Crimped, 5/8-Inch Arbor, Wide Face, .014-Inch (DW4907)

I use this wire wheel on my machine occasionally to remove rust and paint from car parts, it is well balanced and mounts on the machine.

I thought I would use this brush to fill in until I could afford another, but it works so well that I think I will keep it until it wears out.

It's very heavy, and I've used it topolish off rust andcorrosion from several parts and tools, as well as dried glue from a large sanding disc.

I wasn't sure if I would like this wheel at first, but after a few minutes of use, it is doing a great job.

I put it on one end of a grinder because it ran smooth and didn't have any problems.

    Common Questions

    Q:

Is this a coarse or fine wire wheel?

    A:

We don't categorize it as coarse or fine, it's for heavy material removal.

    Q:

What is the difference between this wheel and the DW4906?

    A:

    Q:

Will this wheel fit the DW758 without removing the shroud?

    A:

I have an 8-inch dewalt bench grinder, and some stray wires do rub on the inside of the side panels, but it doesn't bother me.

    Q:

There are some wire wheels that are too thin in the center, where the arbor is, in order for the flange discs to tighten against it tightly.

    A:

I did not know how thick the center of the wire wheel was, but I used 2 large washers to make it thicker.

    Q:

    A:

We don't categorize it as coarse or fine, it's for heavy material removal.
