  • What buyers say about DEWALT Wire Wheel for Bench Grinder, Crimped, 6-Inch (DW4905)

The wide wire wheel does not fit with the side case on, but it is still usable with it off.

It makes it easier to clean and deburr, I have been using this wheel for a few years now and I have to say that it is very easy to use and easy to clean.

The last one I bought lasted a long time and I used a new tip from an old timer to make it work again.

The product has a coarse finish and is suitable for removing rust and polishing steel based items.

It's wide, which means it can cover more area in the same time.

    Common Questions

    What's the maximumrpm?

I'm not sure what max.rpm is, but I put this on the motor and it's 3450rpm.

Is this wire wheel a coarse or fine abrasive brush?

I have two standard sized bench grinders and this brush is too wide for either of them, so it sits on my workbench unused.

Would this fit the newest model of a craftsman bench grinder?

I didn't fit my Dewalt 6" grinder with it because it was too thick.

Is the wheel made in the United States?

I didn't put the wheel in-service until I looked at both sides and there was no "Made in USA" sign on either side.

What is the difference between this and the DW4904 wire wheel?

I believe the thickness of the face is what determines the difference between the DW4904/DW4905.
