After using these for a half hour, I didn't notice much wear, and they should last quite a while.
The wire did not change shape after use, it was still conforming to the guard I belt to fit it.
I use it daily and it's holding up better than the ones I buy for my local metal supplier and half the price.

I'm not sure as this is an aggressive brush so best for steel if that's what your working on, also note they make wheels and Brushes made of nylon Filament, that maybe gentler on softer surfaces, but looks like they are used with a drill as they normally have a max
