  • What buyers say about The Hole, by Hiroko Oyamada

A novella that would make a great movie, "The Hole" follows Asa after her husband transfers jobs and they move out of the city and into a house next to her mother-in-law.

Other readers may find The Hole more rewarding than I did, as Laura Van Den Berg has said about Hiroko Oyamada.

The language in the story is so pure that it could not have been easy to translate.

I liked the pace of the book and the way it made me understand what I thought I knew about the story before the end.

This is a very well written and well translated story, 92 pages, that makes you feel like you have read an entire novel.
