What buyers say about Nite Ize DoohicKey Keychain Multi Tool, Stainless-Steel 5-in-1 Multi Tool With Bottle Opener + Carabiner Clip
It takes at least 2 and sometimes 3 attempts to get it off of the bottle cap, so it's less useful than it used to be.
I like that it has a built in clip, but it's not part of the bottle opener, so I don't have to remove it from anything to open bottles.
It's light and has a smooth black coating, it doesn't have sharp edges, and it has a pry tool with a thin wedge leading to a wider wedge that wouldn't hurt the item you're trying to remove.
I have not used the carabiner clip for the other functions it carries but I am sure others will find them useful.
I have been using it for 6 months and it still holds up without bending, it is a small size that I can use for quick and convenient access, and it is resistant to wear and tear.
Common Questions
Is it ok for airport security?
I haven't been through airport security with it, but I know a similar product, the Gerber Shard, is a more lethal looking tool and it's supposed to be okay for airport security.
Can this open a bottle with a single pry, as my current one can't? I would like to replace it with something that can.
You get better with it once you get used to it.
Does it have centimeters or just inches?
It has both inches and millimeters.
I don't know which one to choose, silver or black. How bad does the black flake get over time with keychain carry use?
I don't mind that my black one wears a little while on the ring, but if you think you'll choose stainless, that's fine.
Is the markings painted or scored?
I have asked my friend the SVP at Nite Ize if the marking is durable, and he can tell me.
