  • What buyers say about Oscar Schmidt OD312CEB-A-U 12-String Acoustic Electric Guitar

The guitar covers many of the desires that a guitarist would want in a modern guitar.

The built in tuning is great and I'm happy I did it. I took a chance on the engineered fret board and I'm glad I did it.

I bought this 1 bit and have been playing it almost every day without a problem. Pro tip: If you are going to use strings in pairs, only put one low E string so there will be less tension and less of a pull.

It is a great value and holds perfect pitch with a capo at the 7th fret.

This is a great guitar for a low price and it holds a perfect pitch with a capo. It even holds perfect pitch with a capo at the 7th fret for Hotel California!

    Common Questions

    Q:

Does this guitar fit in a Gator GWE-DREAD 12 acoustic guitar case?

    A:

The guitar fits nicely and the case is great, especially for the price. The guitar may need some professional setup; neck adjustment, saddle modification (too high), but after that it's a great playing, tone rich 12 string.

    Q:

I can tell you if the guitar has a pick guard.

    A:

It's less than $10 bucks and it's very easy to put on the guitar.

    Q:

What does the curve of the neck feel like? How is the action?

    A:

I have arthritis issues and the guitar is comfortable to play.

    Q:

Does it have any strap buttons?

    A:

There is one on the bottom, but not on the neck.

    Q:

Will this be ready for tuning?

    A:

I was so angry that my bridge was coming off that I had it tune to make it sound better. 2 years later it is finally repaired for almost as much as it cost.
