It has lovely craftsmanship as Yamaha is wont to have, and I purchased it to teach my 10 and 13 year old children how to play and have it as my bang around guitar for some on the go youth activities.
The action is perfect, so no strain on the fingers when pressing, and the strings are a little closer together than my full-sized Yamaha guitar, but it's not a problem because you just have to get used to it.
If you want to buy this guitar and don't want to spend a lot of money on new tuning, it's still a great buy. You may have to fine tune it every time you pick it up, because it will most likely not keep a tune for more than one session
It is a good guitar, it plays well, and it is not a toy. I purchase my guitar from them often, they are my go to music store after dealing with them on this guitar.
I like the small size and am happy to take it anywhere. I still want to work on the action a little; but its getting there and I am enjoying my time with this little beauty.

Does this product include steal strings?
Yes. I changed mine right away to 9 gauge, which was easier for me to play, and I also changed out the tuning knobs per the directions of another reviewer, which stayed in tune better.
Is it a nylon string guitar?
It would take a total re-work of the design due to string-spacing, fretboard width, and other factors.
Does this have a curved or flat fretboard?
My APX T2 is the best-playing guitar I own right now, and it has a beautiful radiused fretboard that plays like a dream.
I want to order a hardshell case for my APXT2 but I can't find the dimensions. Can someone tell?
Yamaha doesn't have a 3/4 hardshell case, but Gator does have a 3/4 hardshell case that's perfect. The Amazon description is "Gator GWE-ACOU-3/4 Hard shell Acoustic Case" and it sells for $79.99.
Does it have a adjustability rod?
I recommend getting a better 4mm wrench because it comes with an inexpensive one.
