  • What buyers say about Mastering Audio, Third Edition: The Art and the Science

It was so full of analogue pops and clicks that it wasn't nearly as good as the clean in the box master, but I paid someone else to do it for a fraction of the price.

The book is not a bad one, but I wish the ad/referral had been more specific about how the author does his job as a music mastering engineer and not about the science of waveforms and samples.

If you want to learn mastering and have limited time, you should check out the many informative channels on the internet that deal with this subject and watch live demonstrations. They will make much more rapid progress than you will decoding this book one painful page at a time.

I can not recommend this book enough, it was a huge help in setting me up for ear training and it caused a number of concepts to click for me.

A well written, inclusive explanantion about many mastering techiques and the details that concern you.
