I've been doing this for a long time and I'm not at the level of a world-class engineer yet, but I've been very happy with how I've been doing, even though I only worked on two mixes at this point.
I like that the author presents some good and interesting ideas from his own experiences that might be helpful to a person who is somewhere between beginner and intermediate level of understanding what mixing is all about.
Nathans books have been a game changing and have restored to their previous state for me, as I have a lot of experience and do a lot of research.
I was able to get good mixes from the start, without doing the exercises in the book, and without any wonderful mixing tools, because of the book.
The reason that this book is important is that it teaches you a very basic but key concept called blend and contrast.
