  • What buyers say about Thomas Dolby, The Speed of Sound: Breaking the Barriers Between Music and Technology: A Memoir

I got taken back, enjoyed lots of ah, and ended the book with a renewed respect for one of my favorite electronics, because of Thomas Dolby's account of the other side of music and electronics I loved as a kid.

Will ring true to anyone who started in music in the 80s and somehow would, as he tells the story of his life both as a pop star and as one of the major figures behind cell phone technology with humor and a level of modesty rare in rock star-entrepeneur auto

I was a kid in the 80s and 90s and enjoyed listening to music and electronics. His account of the other side of the music and electronics I loved as a kid are fascinating.
