  • What buyers say about Gator Cases Hard-Shell Wood Case

The fit of the case is not quite as snug as a skintight glove, but I was very happy with it and I had my guitar in its original condition.

It has a small compartment for holding little things like your guitar tuning or spare strings under the neck, which is handy, and it has enough room for my music material to fit underneath the body of the guitar when the case is closed, I mainly travel with it in my car.

I wanted to be able to tell the guitars apart by looking at the case, and I was very focused on fit, but I regret I didn't add decals or something to the case holding the 6- string.

The handle linkage is the weak link and I am prepared to deal with that when it fails by installing an aftermarket luggage handle that will hold up.

The case seems to be recommended on an American parlour guitar, but most questions seem to be about what it fits.

    Common Questions

    Q:

What are the inside measurements for depth, total length, width of lower and upper bouts?

    A:

Hope this helps you, as these are the dimensions listed on the web site. Interior dimensions: 38" H x 10-1/4" W x 5-1/2" D, with the upper bout being 38" H x 10-1/4" W and the middle bout being 13-3/4" W.

    Q:

Is this compatible with a fender MA-1 acoustic guitar?

    A:

I have suggested in the past that you take measurement of your guitar's body length, width, thickness of body and total length.

    Q:

Does this work for a Martin Backpacker?

    A:

I can tell you only that you need to take very precise measurements of your guitar, go to the Gator Cases website and get the measurements for the inside of the case.

    Q:

Will it fit a gibson 25-12, 12 string acoustic?

    A:

Go to Musicians Friend and look up the case, it will give you the dimensions of the case, and I found them to be very accurate.

    Q:

Will it fit a Seagull 12 string?

    A:

You will only have a little extra room at the headstock, body area is close.
