  • What buyers say about Gator Cases Transit Series Acoustic Guitar Gig Bag

I was able to fit my guitar in the gig bag because of the extra space and the fact that there are no foam pads on the headstock area.

It made a difference, because I got an extra half inch on each side. I didn't care about the weight reduction in those tuners, but the ultralite tuners really help the balance and comfort of this bass.

I could have used it like that and I'm sure it would have been fine, but I wanted to satisfy my own curiosities and upgraded the Hipshot to Hipshot Ultra with the short Y tuning key for a better fit in the headstock area.

A good hard shell case can be had for less than what this soft case is worth, so why would you buy it?

I can't find a gigbag or case that fits without a ton of extra space and weight, so I play my gibson SG bass in NYC and commute via mass transit from North Jersey.

    Common Questions

    Q:

Is the case compatible with my Grestch acoustic or electric guitar?

    A:

I tried my '62 Guild Starfire, and even after removing the supplemental head and heel cushioning, this particular case is neither wide or long enough for my hollow body, which I believe is comparable with your Electromatic.

    Q:

How much does the case weigh?

    A:

The weight of the case is approx. 4.5lbs

    Q:

Is there a difference in size between the classical and acoustic guitar case?

    A:

The gig bag has a built in Velcro system to make it more snug for a slightly smaller guitar.

    Q:

Will the bass gig bag fit the firebird?

    A:

We have tested a Firebird in the Bass bag and are sure it won't fit in the electric bag, but we do always encourage our customers to measure their instruments and compare the dimensions to those on the market.

    Q:

Does it fit a fender Jazz bass?

    A:

Measure your guitar to see if it would fit after looking at the product page and finding the inside dimensions.
