What buyers say about Martin Authentic Acoustic MA175 Custom-Light-Gauge Acoustic Guitar Strings
The strings seem to have an amazing relation to one another and they not only stay in tune, but they tune up very nicely.
It seemed to be the same as before, but no higher strings popped too loud or the lows weren't out of place.
The mellow, even tone gives a sort of natural compression to the strings which makes them very smooth when formed into a chord.
These are soft and prefer standard tuning, so not recommended for frequent tuning, but great if you switch between nylon classical and steel.
These are great strings, hold their tuning well, and are not recommended for frequent de/re tuning as they are very soft and prefer standard tuning.
Common Questions
What is the difference between this and the Marquis silked?
I just got these and I like the one in green pack better, but they are both about the same if that helps.
Is this a pack of 6 strings or a single string pack?
Yes. The acoustic guitar strings have a wrapped ball end and come in "Light 12" and "Custom Light 11".
The Martin silk and steel acoustic guitar strings have a silver color outer.
The strings will be brassy if the construction process and material selection remain the same as in previous years.
Is the three pack wrapped individually because of the review?
Each string is wrapped individually but the sets are not in individual wrappers.
Is it worth it to buy it?
It seems like a good upgrade to the old strings from Martin and a great price point.
