  • What buyers say about Will She Do? ; Eileen Atkins

I enjoyed the account of her, as a lowlyASM, shouting at Peter Hall for his rudeness to the hard working technical staff, and she comes across as direct, salty, and pulling no punches.

Dame Eileen Atkins has written an autobiographical novel, which tells the story of her life and career from the start, including her win of a Tony for best actress in the Broadway production of The Killing of Sister George.

It is a great read if you are a fan of theatre or film and would like to know more about the war years.

Eileen was performing in Working Mens Clubs at a very young age, and she was known for her suggestive song-and-dance numbers.

Dame E is a great speaker and writer. An open and honest account of her life on and off the stage.
