It's great to have a supply in the cupboard so we don't have to go to the store to get the little packets when we want to bake.
I can only do one kneading with my old yeast and it doesn't rise much anymore, so I carry it to the oven to make it collapse a little.
It does an acceptable job, but it is not as good as the SAF Gold in terms of rise performance.
With less heat needed in the doughs, the doughs rose faster than expected, the crumb was fine, and there were no large holes, exactly what I want in sweet.
I was surprised at how little bread I needed to make, usually just 1 portion, as opposed to the 2 1/2 portion packs that I had been using to make bread by hand.
