  • What buyers say about Red Star Active Dry Yeast

The yeast that they used came out really well, it's the easiest to use yeast, and you just measure out what you need and add it to the bread machine with the other dry ingredients.

When Amazon removed my regular brand Fleishmanns Instant yeast from their shelves, I only tried this yeast out, and I will stick with this brand from here on out.

I was surprised at the price, it works perfectly with breads and everything else you could possibly want to make with it.

I used this yeast to make some of my favorite breads and rolls, and they all came out great.

I use this yeast to make white bread, dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls, and they all came out really good, because I bought this to use in my bread maker.

    Common Questions

    Q:

Why is this 4 ounce jar only 40 cents less than a 2 pound pouch of the same brand?

    A:

If you open a 2lb package, you need to use it all in about 4 months or it will go bad.

    Q:

    Is this free of gluten?

    A:

The site outlines which yeasts are free from gluten.

    Q:

    Is this shipped from Asia?

    A:

No, it is from the USA.

    Q:

It seems a little steep for 4oz.

    A:

If you are a Walmart customer, you can get 4oz jars shipped free of charge from their online website to your local store. Unfortunately, people are paying stupid prices on Amazon for this item, even worse on eBay.

    Q:

Is it possible to use the bread machine?

    A:

I use it in my bread machine.
