I was surprised that they weren't as soft as advertised, but I'm okay with that. I wear 5.11 tactical pants on a regular basis and these are great because they feel like the same material as those pants.
They are what they said they do hold up and I did keep a pair to dress nice in for casual things and go with a 3 button pull over.
I got these for "Saturday pants" because they fit just fine in that role, and they make quite a bit of noise when you walk in them.
I was hoping these pants would be just like a baggy pant, but they are. I like a slim fit, and look for just enough stretch to give me great comfort.
These are a nice addition to his wardrobe and they should fit him well for several summers. I washed and dry them according to the care and content label.
