  • What buyers say about Africa: A Biography of the Continent

This is a well written history of the African continent from prehistoric to the mid 1990s, and it provides a lot of context for why Africa is as it is today, even if the last 25 years are missing.

Most of Africa is south of Egypt, along the coast and deep into the interior, and it is known as the sub-Saharan.

I have been reading Africa: A Biography of the Continent by John Reader for the past two decades, and I have to say that it is one of the best books I have ever read.

I didn't know much about the way Africa was until I read this book, it was a great primer on the issues of slavery and colonialism, as well as the migration of people out of Africa.
