  • What buyers say about We Dared to Win: The SAS in Rhodesia

A few of my close friends who left our battalion in the early 70s almost convinced me to go with them, but I still regret not taking on that great adventure, and I saw one of the guys on a news report after a notable fire-fight.

This is a well written account of the actions undertaken by the Rhodesian SAS and in part the RLI, it captures the pace of operations and the demanding conditions in the bush war, which is why it should be considered an essential reed.

One of the better first person accounts of war tells you about the tactics used and the behind the war.

This is a great gift for any person on your gift giving list.
