What buyers say about When a Crocodile Eats the Sun: A Memoir of Africa
Even though the writer is not as well known as he should be, I give him five points for the book as it has captured my attention with a real life story.
I just finished reading this book and I highly recommend it.
I have to say that Albania of 2002 looked nothing like the failed state / chaotic country of Zimbabwe the author described.
The story of a white family in Zimbabwe is told in this book, with the background of a failing country, as well as the author being banned in his own land and the elderly parents who refuse to leave the country.
I think his section on the Holocaust is irrelevant and out of place, as it has been covered many times and more accurately elsewhere.
