I was drawn in by the amount of information I received, and by the fact that the authors were also as individuals, making me wish I could be like them.
The story of a pair of young naturalists attempting to penetrate a forbidding desert wilderness with little outside support in order to study the lifestyles of lions is an amazing one that has not been told before.
A great attachment grows as the authors describe what is happening and how they can't interfere with the natural order of things, they start out with a simple dream and end up using radio detection finders and aircraft to carry out their work.
I felt like I was in the middle of it all, observing and interacting with the authors as they were themselves, but the book doesn't feel like ego was involved, because it's all about who they are as individuals and how they make you wish you could be a part of
