If you're not part of the New Age movement, don't read this book. She says things like take deep breaths, sleep, exercise, eat well, listen to happy music.

It covers all of the elements of grief, and is a "how to" for those who are supporting the griever.

I have just finished the book and it was so helpful, I was able to focus for a while but I couldn't.

I found it to be a good book to read when I was grieving the death of my mother, as it gave me an idea of what I might feel when I got older, and there weren't many surprises when those emotions hit.

It was very helpful to hear Elaine's personal experience of losing her mother, since none of my friends have experienced the same thing.
