I need to start with something gentle, because this seems like a good book to take with you on a journey with the old Mr. Petrow.

It was not easy to read as the subject is difficult but the wisdom here is very important. One shows how to stay engaged and have people spend time with you even as your body ages.

The contents of this book are not funny and I do not think I will come away feeling uplifted, but I will say that the author approaches this with some element of humor and I do not think I am the only reader who wont come away feeling uplifted.

Steven has written about his parents and his own journey with an easy humour and realism that had me simultaneously laughing and recognizing little bits of both myself and my husband, and our parents.

The people who are stuck in the past are more likely to have been hit by a car while they were still in school.
