  • What buyers say about California Air Tools 2010A Ultra Quiet and Oil-Free 1.0 HP 2.0-Gallon Aluminum Tank Air Compressor

The performance of this compressor is outstanding, and I can't get over how quiet it is.

The fit and finish of the unit is very good, and it doesn't take much to install an air filter on it.

I am sure you can drive additional nails/brads while the motor is still working, but I did not test that as I have never needed to drive nails/brads that fast in my shop.) Thus, not only is it quiet in operation, but it also doesnt need to

brad and finish nailers need between 70 to 120psi to operate properly, which is comfortably within the 120psi limit of this unit.

I already had a couple compressors that functioned perfectly, but they were loud as all-get-out, so they seemed too pricey.

    Common Questions

    Q:

I'm using a tekton 46135 3/8" id hose with a milton s-212 1/4" npt m style connectors and the 2010a seems to leak air. Anyone have a similar issue?

    A:

The old valves and quick connects were bad and leaking, be careful putting a new one in the manifold that is plastic, it will break.

    Q:

Is the tank free of rust?

    A:

It has a tap valve for draining on occasion, but aluminum is less prone to that.

    Q:

Can I use a small gun with this?

    A:

I would look into the size of the tank to see if it would be able to handle the amount of usage.

    Q:

What is the best way to use the compressor's universal connector?

    A:

The universal connector should work with industrial or automotive.

    Q:

What is the maintenance cycle of this compressor?

    A:

I don't know of any specific limits, but I use mine to make frames on heavy days.
