What buyers say about Makita MAC700 Big Bore 2.0 HP Air Compressor
I ordered from Amazon for the first time and was very happy with the quality of the product and the customer service.
I knew all of these things when I purchased the same unit for the second time. It is a great unit if you need to do light to moderate work that requires pressurized air.
I put a 4 gallon storage tank on the compressor drain and used the duty cycle to handle recovery time without tripping the breaker.
I was happy to find that these are very well packaged and use 2 boxes, I'm sure they have had returns due to UPS knuckleheads.
If you are not mechanically inclined, I would recommend a high quality maintenance free model over this one which requires oil changes and a little assembly, for those who are comfortable with the idea of changing the oil every 3 months or more.
Common Questions
What is the noise decibel number?
I use mine in the garage with all the doors closed and can still have a normal conversation or listen to the shop radio, even though I don't know the actual number.
Is it possible to use it with a framing nailer?
I have used this with a framing nailer for over 7 years and it has been very reliable.
Will it work with a LVLP sprayer?
I only shoot nails with mine but I can't understand why they didn't give it a bigger tank.
What will the impact be?
It would make a big impact if you dropped it, as it is heavy with mass. I can usually get a wheel off right before it kicks in.
Is it legit?
Yes. This is the best compressor I have ever owned.
