Is it possible to put a piece of wood over the window track so the bracket rests over it and reach the inside?
It's a good idea to re-engineer the item to make it work correctly, but there are several problems with thebracket that I believe I mentioned when I wrote my initial review.
Does the bracket have the option to attach it to the window sill?
It's installed to the outside window sill with just enough clearance for the window to close, that's important in my case because I leave the hard plastic mounting base attached to the sill when I remove the air conditioner for the winter.
Does it mount into the window frame or is it drilled into the concrete or brick?
I wouldn't mount the braces into the window frame because the leading end is anchored into the out side window sill.
Is the bottle with liquid green in one of the brackets?
The bubble level is built into the end of the bracket and should be in the middle when you are looking at the house.
Is it possible to use this for a sliding window?
The width of the opening and how to close in the top may be the problem.
