Common Questions
Is it possible that the plastic will keep toxic gases from entering the house through cheap, single-pane windows?
According to the Duck Brand website, "Duck Brand Max Strength Window Kits create an added barrier between the outdoor air and your home's inside, helping block drafts and air leaks that lead to high heating costs." It probably won't keep out.
Does this help reduce noise outside?
The only noise it can reduce is the whistling wind noise that creeps through the cracks of the window, but other than that, it doesn't.
I measured 60" wide and I can't find the last fold. How do you get it apart?
Since they also offer a 62" wide product, make sure you check the package to make sure you have the 7'x10' version. Also, note that it is 120" LONG and 74" wide, so static cling isn't an option here.
What is the measurement of this product? I read from the manufacturer that it is 62" x 126" when the box says 84"x 120".
One is a patio door kit that is 84" x 120", the other is a 3pk window kit that is 62" x 126".
Is the varnish removed when the tape is removed?
Yes. If you can get tape to stick to varnish in the first place, it will take some with it when removed.
