It works great in my shop, and is very reactive to all of the LED style UV lights I have seen or used.

It took less than 5 minutes to get the thermostat to open in warm weather.
Does this dye change the color of the antifreeze in other ways than with a UV light?
It will have a tint of orange, but be careful. I recommend putting in a radiator or removing the hose from the top of the engine to pour down the hose.
Does the chemical stay visible under UV light for a long time after it's added to the cooling system?
You need a UV light flashlight to excite it. But, when I changed my water pump the antifreeze glowed easily.
Is it possible to see it on paper?
I could see it on the ground and on the outside of the tank, but it was pretty much hidden by the black light.
